An Evening of Enchantment
Thursday, November 13th, women gathered for The Francis Shoppe’s highly anticipated, annual holiday fashion show in the grand Honeywell House. Hosted by Teri Francis-Ahlfeld, the owner of The Francis Shoppe, who bewitched the guests with stories and laughter, pulled back the curtain on the latest, high-end fashion featured in her establishment.
Models walked the intimate runway wearing an array of chic ensembles for a cozy night in, turned, your mother-in-law is making an unexpected visit. A perfect blend of “Oh, I’ve had this for years!” and “Stop by anytime!”.
Francis-Ahlfed curated the perfect winter styles. Adding cashmere sweaters, beautiful furs, and winter coats that tied the look together. Enhancing everyday wear into a feminine, sophisticated expression.
As for elegance, The Francis Shoppe is known for its timeless mother-of-the-bride dresses. Long to short, perfectly hemmed garments walked the runway, displaying Francis-Ahled’s gift for understanding the importance of every woman’s figure and confidence.
An enchanting evening for the guests who displayed a love for more than just fashion. This standing-room-only event, enveloped in live music and beautiful fashion, felt more like a family reunion, showcasing the support and impact the Francis family has had on the women in the Wabash community.
Carole Konyha, a close friend of Francis-Ahlfed, says, “ Terri Ahlfed has been my friend for 20 years. She has taught me about style, how to carry myself, how to be confident in my own skin, and that she will always be there for me. She has been there countless times, and I love her to pieces. She is an amazing woman all on her own.”
Founded by Francis-Ahlfed’s mother and father, Marjorie and Jack Francis, in 1961, The Francis Shoppe has been a staple of downtown Wabash for over 50 years. Francis-Ahlfed is a continuation of her mother’s living legacy, which captures the heart of every person who walks through their doors.
